Product Q&A

Real questions from BBSTER owners and shoppers, answered by our team. Search first. Your question may already be answered.

  1. How do I set up BBSTER the first time?

    Official answer

Slide a US Letter target into the top slot, place BBSTER on a tripod (1/4-20 thread), hang it on a wall, or stand it on a stable surface, and shoot from at least 1 m (3.3 ft). No batteries or assembly needed.

  2. What BBs and power levels can I use?

    Official answer

Plastic airsoft BBs only. BBSTER can withstand around 3J of energy without any problem. I haven’t tested it beyond that level. Of course, the higher the power, the more frequently the replacement parts may need to be changed. BB weight doesn’t matter—the important factor is energy. For reference, 3J is roughly equivalent to a 0.25g BB traveling at 500 FPS.

  3. Can I use it with gas blowback and full-auto guns?

    Official answer

Yes, as long as you stay within 3 J. With high-power setups, especially those firing more than 30 rounds per second, avoid full-auto fire on the same spot for more than 3 seconds to help the screen and film last longer.

  4. Will BBs ever bounce back?

    Official answer

BBSTER greatly reduces ricochets, but a small percentage of BBs may still bounce out, which is normal. In our testing, the catch rate was over 98% with target paper and over 95% without target paper. We are continuing R&D to improve this as close to 100% as possible. If more start bouncing, check the screen and PVC film for wear. Always wear eye protection.

  5. What target paper does it take?

    Official answer

BBSTER is available in two versions: one for US Letter paper and one for A4 paper. We supply the appropriate version for each region, so the US version fits standard Letter-size paper, while the international version fits standard A4 paper. You can also simply print your own targets on regular printer paper.

  6. When should I replace the screen and PVC film?

    Official answer

Replace them when they look worn or damaged, or when more BBs start bouncing out. Both are sold as replacement parts in the Shop.

  7. How do I empty the BB tray?

    Official answer

Pull the tray out from the side, pour out the BBs and slide it back in. It holds about 2,000 BBs. We don’t recommend reusing collected BBs since they can deform on impact.

  8. How can I mount BBSTER?

    Official answer

Three ways: a camera tripod with the standard 1/4-20 thread, a wall screw through the keyhole on the back, or adhesive picture-hanging strips (sold separately).

  9. Do you ship outside the U.S.?

    Official answer

Only on request: international orders come with high shipping costs plus import duties and taxes. Send us a message if you still need one. We’re working with retailers in Europe and Asia so you can buy locally soon.
